Ben & Jerry's
Our Waterbury site is the only Ben & Jerry’s factory open to the public. Our very first factory, built in 1985, continues to manufacture upwards of 350,000 pints per day while offering our fans a sneak peek at our humble beginnings. Our small Scoop shop, retail area and tour route have remained fairly unchanged over the years.

Brookdale Covered Bridge
It spans the West Branch Waterbury River and originally had a hemlock shake roof, which was replaced with the current steel roof.

Canteen Creemee Company is your go-to spot for classic Vermont fare with a modern twist. Our Maple Creemees are a beloved favorite, but for the adventurous eater, there's so much more to explore. We take pride in serving what many consider the best fried chicken in Vermont, and our commitment to sourcing fresh ingredients from local farmers ensures every bite reflects the true flavors of the region. From hearty burgers to delightful takeout, we celebrate Vermont's culinary heritage in every dish.
Cold Hollow Cider Mill
Part of the secret is fresh cider pressed right here at the mill on our vintage rack-and-cloth press. We back-sweeten with our own cider syrup - we’re one of only two places in the whole country that still make it. We pull fresh cider off our boiler at a lower temperature (before it turns to cider jelly) to use as our sweetener. No sugar. We don’t really like that word around here.
Ellison Estate Vineyard
Ellison Estate Vineyard makes natural wine from one of the oldest and largest single plantings of grapevines in Vermont. All wines are made with native yeast fermentations and minimal intervention in the winery, which means that nothing is added or taken away during the winemaking process. The only ingredient is grapes with no filtering and zero to only a small responsible amount of sulfites added at bottling.
Gold Brook Covered Bridge
Gold Brook Covered Bridge is a smal wooden covered bridge in the town of Stowe, Lamoille County, Vermont, carrying Covered Bridge Road over Gold Brook.
Hillis' Sugarbush Farm & Vineyard
Jim’s primary role on the farm is that of the winemaker. His background and professional degree in dairy and food science as well as his extensive chemistry knowledge are well utilized in the winery. Judy’s primary role on the farm is that of vineyard manager and office manager. Judy works daily in the vineyard to ensure the vines proper growth structure and vine health.
Hope Cemetery
This cemetery is located in Waterbury Village, behind the Congregational Church and borders on Winooski Street to the North. There are approximately 2500 stones and 3000+ gravesites which date back to 1800.
Idletyme Brewery & Restaurant
On tap, you will find lagers from straw golden to big and malty; ales that are intensely quaffable; double IPA’s, Belgian influenced ales, very limited seasonal experiments, and Will’s famous New England specialty, classic Bavarian weizens. Always walking the line of balance between malt and hops.

Lawson's Finest Liquids
Lawson’s Finest Liquids was founded in 2008 in Warren, Vermont as a 1bbl home-based brewery. Fans quickly sought out our beer, prompting an expansion in 2011 to a 7bbl system and the launch of our flagship IPA, Sip of Sunshine in 2014. Lawson’s Finest opened our destination Brewery, Taproom and Retail store in Waitsfield in 2018, finally giving a space to welcome visitors.

The Pine Brook Bridge stands in a rural area of northern Waitsfield, carrying North Road, a principal road in the area, across Pine Brook, a tributary of the Mad River to the west.
Queen City Brewery
Queen City Brewery opened in June 2014 and is locate in Burlington's historically industrial South End. Sage Farm Goat Dairy
Sage Farm Goat Dairy is a small, family-run farm in Stowe, VT. Managed by sisters Molly and Katie Pindell, we milk a herd of registered Alpine goats and produce small-batch artisanal cheeses. Katie runs the milking operation and has developed a highly productive herd with genetics selected from farms across the country. Molly is the head cheesemaker, crafting our milk into a variety of award-winning cheeses.
Smugglers' Notch Distillery
The alchemy of a father/son dream! That’s the magic that created Smugglers’ Notch Distillery®, owned by father and son Ron and Jeremy Elliott. Ron, a retired business executive, and Jeremy, a research chemist in the pharmaceutical industry, inventoried their strengths and followed their collective passion to work as a team to create a distillery in the Vermont mountains.

Stowe Cider
Stowe Cider was founded in 2013 with a vision of bringing something different to the cider scene- a version that boasted less than half the sweetness of most commercial cider. Once this niche was created to “keep cider dry", demand was high and the location was quickly outgrown. Stowe Cider became a favorite stop among visitors and locals alike. With a move up Mountain Rd. Stowe Cider transitioned into the West Branch Building and combined taproom with an updated production facility.
Ten Bends
Our tasting room offers beer samples, packaged beer to go, and retail shopping. Come visit us to taste our distinct ales and find the widest variety of Ten Bends products available anywhere. In addition, we release new batches bi-weekly, so you have access to the freshest and highest quality packaged beer possible.
Texas Falls
Texas Falls is made up of a series of cascading falls of clear mountain water that flow over potholes in the rock created by glacial meltwater.
The Alchemist

The Old Stagecoach Inn
This three-story building first served as the home of Waterbury’s first lawyer, Dan Carpenter. Soon after that, it was converted into a stagecoach inn and tavern. When the railroad came to town, many families arrived by train to vacation in the mountains and escape the heat and cramped conditions of the city.
The Roastery
At The Roastery Stowe, our journey began with an idea, five friends, and a shared goal of creating the finest coffee. We provide an extensive selection of specialty coffees roasted on-site, all crafted with care. Drawing inspiration from the charming small-town atmosphere and stunning scenery, we've created a warm and welcoming space for all.
The Tropic Brewing
At The Tropic Brothers, Matt and Zack Gordon transformed a vacation brainstorming session in Puerto Rico into a vibrant brewing venture inspired by the island's lively atmosphere. While they cherish Vermont's picturesque four seasons, they wanted to capture the fun and flavor of the tropics in every brew. Specializing in lagers and sessionable beers, our four-barrel system allows us to craft delightful brews that offer a rich taste experience without the heavy aftereffects—perfect for any occasion.
The Wine Vault
We have a large diverse selection of wines from around the world and close to home. Most of our wines are from small-batch wineries that take care and pride in their winemaking. We carry a large selection of biodynamic, organic, and natural wine. Even if it is grown to the highest natural standards, it still needs to taste good for us to enjoy it. Tasted and selected to meet the standards set by the Vault.
Vermont Artisan Coffee & Tea
We provides fresh roasted artisan coffees & exotic teas to retail establishments, café's, & markets throughout Vermont, New England & nationally via the web. The company was founded by Mané Alves, a native of Lisbon, Portugal, who has been in the specialty coffee industry for 20+ years, & before that, the wine industry in California. The rest of the team all share a passion for great coffee & are dedicated to delivering the highest quality coffee & tea products to all of our customers, week in & week out.
Waterbury Inn
At the corner of Main Street and Park Row stood the Waterbury Inn, a four-story Victorian hostelry built by William Deal and dedicated March 5, 1865. Visitors spent vacations there availing themselves of the croquet court and deer park at the back of the Inn. This landmark, then encompassing most of Waterbury Square, burned on November 3 and 4, 1953.
Whistle Pig
WhistlePig began when we purchased our farm in 2007. After a few years of deep consideration and personal reflection we committed ourselves to crafting the world’s finest and most interesting Rye Whiskeys. With help from Master Distiller Dave Pickerell, we discovered and purchased an incredible stock of 10 year old blending Whiskey in Canada that was being profoundly misused. That initial stock, for which we are forever grateful, is what kicked off our grand adventure.
